Small town feel boasting fun and challenging courses
Set for its 45th annual running in 2026 through the streets of this small city that lies just a short drive from nearby Fort Worth and the Dallas metropolitan area, we feature a 10K, 5K, and One-Mile Color Run, which start and finish at Ash Creek Park.
The race takes runners on a winding, out-and-back route through Azle which lies along the western edge of Eagle Mountain Lake.
Although we use the terms “runner” and “race” in our language, many of our participants walk either segments or the entire race distance. Anyone is welcome to walk the course.
Race Weather & Climate
On race day, Azle typically sees the average low of 46ºF and the average high 68ºF.
Pet Friendly
The Azle Lake Run permits pets on the course with their owners.
Animals should be current with their vaccinations and keep their owners on a leash.
Water will be provided on the courses for all of the furry friends.

Set for its 45th annual running in 2026, this beloved Azle tradition winds through the streets of our small city just minutes from Fort Worth and Dallas. The event features a 10K, 5K, and One-Mile Fun Run, all beginning and ending at Ash Creek Park. More importantly, the race raises thousands of dollars each year that go directly to the Azle Area Ministerial Alliance, enabling the AAMA to provide vital support to organizations throughout the Azle community.
Band members of the Azle Marching Green Pride will be assisting and providing musical entertainment all along the course.
